Well known throughout the south on waterways, are the Cypress trees with their impressive root systems. Infrared photographs are different than normal black and white. It takes a special film, or digital camera that has been specifically altered to only capture infrared light waves beyond human perception capabilities. Infrared photography captures the heat that emanates from the subject matter. This will often create a surreal, unusual photograph. Anything cold tends to photograph darker, while anything with more heat becomes much lighter. This effect can most clearly been seen when photographing nature. Sky and water will turn deep and rich tones of black whiles leaves, grass, and other vegetation turn much lighter..
