Amazingly Fine Hand Carved Gothic Revival Lectern 19th C With A Presentation Bronze Plaque. Offered here is an extremely rare and one of a kind statement piece. This oak carved lectern features a hand carved eagle with gothic columns. This lectern was commissioned and presented in 1866 as evident by the presentation plaque as illustrated. Carved in black oak, this important lectern was used in important early American ceremonies. It is from an important Ohio estate and sat in the library for decades in a Falkirk castle. Additionally, the original carved two step podium base is detailed in gothic design as well. Excellent condition Measure 69″ Tall x 36″ x 36″.
