Original signed watercolor on paper by an unknown artist, likely Czech, (Late 19th Century) titled "Barber’s Bridge in Cesky Krumlov, Czech Republic", 1872. Hand-signed and dated illegibly by the artist’s lower right. Recently framed with molding from Spain and 100% cotton rag mats from Holland. All archival. Framed size: 24" x 25.75. Image size: 12" x 14". In excellent condition. Lazebnick? most (barber’s bridge) is a medieval wooden bridge across the Vltava River connecting the old town and the crown jewel of the town, ÄŒesk? Krumlov Castle. There are two statues on either side of the bridge, one is Jesus on the cross and the other St. John of Nepomuk (one of his statues is also on the Charles Bridge in Prague).
