An original lithograph on wove paper after French artist Georges Rouault (1871-1958) titled "Tete de Jeune Fille", 1939. Limited edition: approx. 2000. Rouault authorized and was commissioned to see this print produced. Comes from the famous "Verve" portfolio, Volume 1, No. 5, 6. Printed and published by "Verve", Paris, France, 1939. There is another lithograph on verso. Sheet size: 14" x 10.5". In excellent condition. Rare."Verve" was a modernist Parisian art magazine published by Teriade between 1937 and 1960. The magazine was first published in December 1937. The headquarters of the magazine was in Paris. It published 38 issues in 10 volumes including lithographs by the most prominent artists of the Parisian art scene of the first half of the 20th century. In addition, the early contributors included James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway.
