An original hand-colored lithograph on wove paper by English artist William Roscoe (1753-1831), titled "Ginger Lily", 1824-1828. Issued unsigned. Limited edition: 150. Comes from his famous portfolio "Monandrian Plants of the Order Scitamineae, Chiefly Drawn from Living Specimens in the Botanic Garden at Liverpool", 1824-1828. Printed by George Smith and published by William Roscoe both in Liverpool, UK. Reference: Dunthorne 267; Great Flower Books 133; Johnston 948; Nissen BBI 1677; Stafleu & Cowan 9505. Beautifully framed with moulding from Spain, matting from Holland, and filet from Italy. All archival. Framed size: 32" x 26". Sheet size: approx. 21.5" x 17". Image size: 20.5" x 14.5". In excellent condition.
