An original copperplate engraving on wove paper after English artist John Webber (1751-1793) titled "Portrait of Bennelong, a native of New Holland, who after experiencing for two years the Luxuries of England, returned to his own Country and resumed all his savage Habits", 1817. Engraved by English artist James Heath (1757-1834). Comes from the Octavo edition of "A Voyage to the Pacific Ocean" 1776-1780, recording the Third Voyage of Captain Cook. Published by Evans & Bourne in London, the UK for the "Cooke’s Geography", portfolio in 1817. Matted with mats from Holland, all archival and shrink-wrapped. Matted size: 14.75" x 12.75".
